RPCLiF has made several core gameplay mechanic changes and modifications to the vanilla verison of LiF.
(Last revised October 18th, 2018)
What is new?
- RPCLiF is now using MMO Standards, due to the latest game patch, with slight modifications to skill gains and general gameplay.
Skill Cap (Crafting/Combat/Minor)
Animal Feeding Period
Wild Animal Count
Horse Decay is set for 60 minutes.
Inventory drop on Homecoming Prayer has been enabled.
Tree growth rate has been increased to x4.
Gem drop chance has been increases from 0,5% to 0,75% to adjust for getting 30 ore per mining action instead of 20.
Skills and experience gains
At x4, the overall skill multiplier is slightly slower than in the past. We have however additionally boosted many skills and abilities on an individual level.
The overall goal is to keep useless, wasteful and sometimes even harmful grinds (e.g. Construction) to a minimum and focus skill gain on more productive abilities whenever possible. For example, paving yields a lot more skill than hammering clay into ovens.
Artisan: Faster terraforming and uprooting, higher skill gain for uprooting and crafting primitive tools (x3)
Hunting: Higher skill gain for fishing (x2), slaughtering (x4) and especially skinning animals (x8)
Construction: Dramatically increased skill gain for paving (x7,5). It yields a lot more than actually building things. Please pave and don't drain clay pits.
Armorsmithing: Increased skill gain for crafting actual armour pieces (x3)
Bowcraft: Increased skill gain (x2,5).
Forestry: Every tree now yields the same skill gain and overall improved skill gain rate
Tailoring: Increased skill gain for leatherworking (x2,5).
Farming: Higher skill gain for gathering wild plants (x3)
Overall higher skill gain rate for the following skills: Animal lore (x2,5), Masonry (x10), Jewelry (x3), Healing (x5)
Listed multipliers stack on the server multiplier - a multiplier x2 for fishing at server multiplier x4 will result in a de facto 8x skill gain rate
Blueprints and Regional Resources
The blueprint drop rate has been increased to 30%. Drop rates for regional resources are at 6% for iron ore and flax stems, 15% for skinned hides and 6% for slaughtering.
The changes to combat balancing from the MMO have been implemented on RPCLiF, with a slight increase in skill gain multipliers for combat related skills.
Looting graves will take 20 seconds and can be interrupted.
Opening and closing gates will take 2 seconds and can be interrupted.
Increased output for material harvests.
Double output for shaping stone/granite/marble.
Outposts are per standard disabled.
